STATEMENT ON INVITATION OF US-AFRICOM AND FRENCH FORCES TO AFRICA
The Global Coalition of Pan-African Organizations (GCPAO) has with great concern monitored the proceedings of a
conversation between the President of the African Nation of Nigeria and the US secretary of State Mr. Blinken. This
Follows an Article published on the website thehill.com and picked up by msn; “Nigerian president calls on US to
relocate Africa Command headquarters | TheHill”.
In addition, Democratic Republic of Congo President and the African Union Chairman, Felix Tshesekedi invitation of the
French forces to Africa during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
It is very disturbing that while Africa has the youngest population on earth, meaning we are so much able and capable
of taking on the security needs of our continent, the leaders have decided to invite foreigners to carry out this very
important task.
We would like to refer to history, Africa’s contact with the rest of the World, and how they took advantage to capture
the continent. We advise the President of Nigeria and all African Presidents who have not paid attention to this
important happening that such a move has dire consequences for the Future generations of our people and our
Resources as African people. A closer look at the objectives of AFRICOM tell us it is to advance American interests and
not African, we advise that African Interests should come first. The United States, France and its allies have already
occupied this Continent and littered it with many Military bases, we should rather be advocating for their removal
because they are all illegal and are a source of further instability as has happened elsewhere in the world, the African
people were not consulted in planting any of the military bases, we believe they would not agree to this.
Our Organisations call for the Immediate establishment of an African high command (AFHCOM) as called for in 1963 in
Addis Ababa by the African heads of state. This is High command should have all African Military forces subscribing to
it and should be stationed in all the major regions of Our continent to immediately confront the Security needs of Our
continent both external and internal. The United states of America and its Allies have aging populations and don’t have
enough young people as Africa, so Africa is very much in position to be protected by it young people if they are reorganized.
Our organizations are concerned with the welfare and human rights of the African people nationally and
internationally, and would like to encourage due diligence, transparency and calm which should be preceded by
accountability to the African People.
We call for African Unity to safeguard our security and strengthen us against exploitation.
AFRICA MUST UNITE NOW.
